Created for and inspired by NASA’s JAMES WEBB TELESCOPE project and its search for the first light at the edge of time, the OWTROL film explores the journey of a photon from origin to dispersion through the avatar of bionic pop icon Viktoria Modesta.

Originally created to be shown at the California Science Center for NASA’s celebration of Yuri Gagarov’s maiden voyage to space, the film has taken on a multitude of shapes for an array of venues:
From Tokyo’s Olympic Stadium, the Dutch Paralympic championships, Dubai’s Future Museum, and finally a physical rocket launch to the International Space Station and consequent live stream from outer space, One With The Ray Of Light has seen a journey befitting its storyline.

Physically launched into orbit aboard a rocket and held within an ICE cube (International Commercial Experiment Cube) MALETH III, the film has been live streamed from inside the International Space Station. A custom 3D trailer using the ICE Cube 3D model and Sage Morei’s avatar has been created to commemorate the unique occasion.

For view at Dubai’s Future Museum’s ‘ART IN SPACE’ initiative, we created a special 13K render for optimal fidelity on the large scale hyper widescreen light stage. Both cut, animation and cinematic score have been custom tailored to provide a fully immersive experience.

Performed at the California Science Center, at Utrecht’s European Paralympic Championships, as well as Tokyo’s TRUE COLORS festival held in the Olympic Stadium featuring a guest appearance by director SAGE MOREI as guitarist, ONE WITH THE RAY OF LIGHT has seen an array of homes on international stages.
For display on PROTO holographic booths, select assets from the film have been prepared for a 3-dimensional, free-floating futuristic viewing experience at Yuri’s night and beyond.
